Have you ever had that problem with Windows Movie Maker where you end up with half a green screen after publishing your movie? Apparently, it’s something to do with the Xvid codec and having MPEGs ripped from YouTube in your timeline. That meant I had to replace every single little clip I’d made in the MPEG format with a coverted AVI file.Then, of course, I had the problem of WMG removing my video because both artists are signed to that label. On the plus side, I was able to file a counter claim and get my video back instantly. I made some grand statement about how mashups are an emerging genre and therefore come under the banner of ‘fair use’. I then pasted some of the disclaimer, and submitted.
So, I’m feeling pretty good about the whole thing so far. I have about 20 views, should be quite successful. 🙂
